This summer, the road network at Südpark in Pichling will be renewed for a total of 418,000 euros. One focus will be on the renovation of the “Im Südpark” street, which is showing its age. 10,000 square meters of the road will be milled and renewed. In addition, the lighting of the pedestrian crossing in the area of the Pichlinger Straße bus turnaround will be optimized. For traffic officer Vice Mayor Martin Hajart (VP), this is “an investment in improving the infrastructure of the Südpark business location and in optimizing the subjective feeling of safety for pedestrians.”

Specifically, a 35-meter-long new sidewalk and an adjacent green strip are to be built on Bremenstrasse. A total of 2,000 meters of new sidewalk sections and a green strip are to be built on the south side of “Im Südpark” street. In addition, the street “Im Südpark” will be resurfaced in this area. The funds were approved and released at the city senate meeting on June 13th.
