An accident at a railway crossing in the municipality of Straßham ended well: a car carrying four people, which had stopped at the intersection of the Linzer Lokalbahn and Ochenstraße because of a red light, was rammed from behind by a following car and pushed onto the tracks. At that very moment, a railcar was driving towards the “Straßham-Schönering” stop and grazed the front of the car.

A 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were slightly injured in the accident, police said on Saturday morning. They did not require rescue. The Alkoven and Polsing fire departments were called in to help with the clean-up.
