The group, led by a 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, began their tour along the Kronburgbach in the area of the Glanderspitze at around 12:15 p.m. Concerned by the rising water level, the 25-year-old decided to make an emergency call for the safety of the participants – three men and three women aged between 28 and 40. In addition to the helicopter units, rescue services, mountain rescue services and alpine police were also deployed.
