The two organizers Birgit Hofstötter and Christina Jaritsch as well as Ischl’s mayor Ines Schiller were delighted with the high level of participation. They thus achieved their goal of organizing an impressive Pride not only in a big city but also in rural areas.
Pride parade with celebrities
ESC winner Tom Neuwirth (aka Conchita Wurst) was also part of the Pride demonstration – in short leather trousers.
Also present were Federal Councillor Mario Lindner, EU MP Hannes Heide, who was re-elected a few days ago, State Parliament MP Mario Haas and Capital of Culture head Elisabeth Schweeger. Representatives of next year’s Capital of Culture Chemnitz (Saxony) also accepted the invitation to the Salzkammergut.
