According to the responsible authorities, the fire broke out on Saturday in the mountains near the metropolis of Los Angeles. As of Sunday, the fire, called “Post Fire,” had spread over an area of ​​around 48 square kilometers and had only been contained to two percent. The cause of the fire was still unclear.

400 emergency personnel fought the flames over the weekend. The evacuation mainly affected holidaymakers and hikers in the Hungry Valley Park recreation area.
