Russian servicemen handed the Syrian girl Iman Ali a letter of New Year’s greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Friday, December 31.
In the letter, the Russian president admired the patriotism of a young Latakian woman who dreams of becoming a military doctor, and wished every child in Syria peace and prosperity.
“Your letter, filled with love and sincerity, has become a real gift on the eve of the New Year holidays. It contains the thoughts of not just a young girl, but a true patriot of his Motherland. Even if such fragile but brave children as you are ready to become soldiers and nurses for the sake of peace and security in their land, it will be easier for all of us to resist evil and various threats. Dear Iman, in the coming New Year I wish you, your family and friends and, of course, all Syrian children – prosperity, peace and fulfillment of the most cherished desires, may every day be filled with smiles, joy and happiness! ” – the letter says.
Together with the letter from the president, Ded Moroz and Snegurochka also came to Iman, they fulfilled her New Year’s wish and invited him to the military base of Khmeimim to a special purpose medical unit. The girl and her parents were taken to the hospital, where she was shown how to provide first aid, measure temperature and make dressings.
“I am surprised how everything is clean here, very pleasant doctors, smiling. God grant that there are no patients and no need to take medicine. I recently participated in an action for children with cancer and I want to invent a cure for it in the form of sugar-free chocolate so that no one ever gets sick, ”said Iman Ali.
Doctors also treated her to tea and presented a phonendoscope and a backpack with sweets.
This is Vladimir Putin’s second letter to Iman Ali: the first she received in August after she herself wrote a letter to the president and sent a drawing. In response, young Ali was presented with a large teddy bear, a doll and a toy dove as a symbol of peace.
