“City of Diversity” publication with all award winners

For ten years, the city of Linz has been awarding the “City of Diversity” prize to recognize integrative and intercultural projects. Yesterday, the awards ceremony took place in the Old Town Hall by Vice Mayor Tina Blöchl (SP) and City Councilor for Culture Doris Lang-Mayerhofer (VP).

33 submissions

A total of 33 projects in three categories were submitted by Linz clubs, companies and educational institutions. “With their work, numerous organizations and clubs make an important contribution to ensuring that integration in Linz succeeds,” says Blöchl.

Prize for “Interculturality”
VSG TrainingFit & Pre-Module Factory: “TUK-TUK SECOND LIFE”
DORF TV: “Human Rights – 30 Video Miniatures”
PANGEA: “Politics? Yes, thank you!”
Depotchor Linz: Intercultural concert “Eastwards” (recognition award)

Prize for “Intercultural child and youth integration work”
Freier Rundfunk OÖ: “Tell me your favourite story – Your favourite story ON AIR”
Urban Dance Club: “Breaking for everyone”
MS 23: “Meet and Eat”
VHS OÖ: “Summer Language Camp” (Recognition Award)

All award winners from the past ten years, many of whom are still active today, will also be honored in a new commemorative publication.
