In Sofia, police detain a man who threatened to blow himself up

Police detained a 53-year-old man with a grenade during New Year’s festivities in the center of Sofia. This was reported on Friday, December 31, by the NOVA edition.

The incident occurred at about 20:30 (about 21:30 Moscow time). According to the newspaper, the check established that the grenade was training.

According to Vesti, the man opposed the vaccination and threatened to blow himself up, saying he did not agree with the anti-epidemic measures. He took out a grenade, but the police managed to neutralize him.

A little later, a pistol was found in the attacker’s car. It is noted that he arrived in the capital from Asenovgrad with his wife, who was also detained by law enforcement officers.

Earlier, on December 28, in the Montenegrin town of Bar, a man seized a branch of the NLB bank and threatened to blow it up. He demanded that the bank return the money to Primorke employees with 12 years of interest.
