It will take until 2025 for the new water feature on Pfarrplatz to be finished. But now there will be a mobile version in August so that the people of Linz can try out the cooling off. As the city announced today, there will be a mobile version on Martin-Luther-Platz from August 7th to September 10th, the water feature “PlayFountain” from Burghausen.

1024 water jets
During a visit to Burghausen, Mayor Klaus Luger and the economic department were impressed by this facility. With an area of 100 square meters and 1,024 water jets, which enable 19 different games during the day and seven show programs in the evening, the “PlayFountain” is a highlight for the summer months. Martin Luther Square was chosen as the location to meet both infrastructural and cultural requirements.
This project will be presented to the city council for approval on June 26. The water feature on the parish square is scheduled to go into operation in summer 2025.
