The drone filmed the territory of the burnt down American Louisville

The burned down American city of Louisville was filmed with a drone and posted on the Web. Wildfires broke out in cities of Colorado (USA) on December 30, CBSNews reported.

The drone footage shows hundreds of completely burnt-out houses and trees. On some of the ashes, traces of smoldering fire can be seen. Some buildings were not completely destroyed by fire.

According to the Boulder City Emergency Management Department, a massive fire on the grass has triggered a massive evacuation in two settlements outside the city. More than 500 houses were burned down. More than 21 thousand residents in Louisville and 13 thousand in Superior were ordered to evacuate without wasting time. The number of evacuees may increase depending on strong winds in the state, contributing to the spread of fire.

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle reported on December 30 that more than 1,600 acres (about 650 hectares) have already been burned, more than 370 homes in one area have been destroyed, and 210 more may burn as the fires continue.

Gov. Jared Polis declared a state of emergency on Thursday that will allow the state to access emergency funds dedicated to natural disasters.

Winds exceeding 100 mph (160 km / h) sparked sparks, which officials said were caused by a power line cut on Thursday morning. This led to the most devastating fire in Colorado history, FOX31 reports. According to him, the number of destroyed houses may reach a thousand. There are no casualties or injuries. The only missing person was found.

The City of Superior is still largely evacuated, but some evacuees have already been allowed to return.

Red Cross organizers told FOX31 there were about 140 people at the peak of the Thursday night evacuation.

In August, over 16 thousand people were evacuated to the US state of California due to wildfires. Residents of the region were urged to evacuate as soon as possible, “because any moment could save lives.”
