With a new series of events, next year’s Upper Austrian event calendar will make you sit up and take notice: The Stadl-Paura Horse Center and the Sportunion Reitclub Hofinger are planning the Upper Austria Tour 2022. The framework is provided by two international CSI2 * tournaments, which are scheduled for April and June. If you start at both events, you can expect not only culinary highlights, but also a special surprise at the second tournament. While the international show jumping and dressage tournaments in Ranshofen have been among the major event highlights in Austria for many years, the last major international events in the Stadl-Paura Horse Center were a few years ago. The last international dressage tournament, the Easter CDI, took place in March 2016. The last CSI show jumping tournament took place in 2011 as an indoor event. International operations have largely been discontinued in recent years.
This is set to change in 2022. After the extensive investments of the last two years, an international standard is now guaranteed in the horse center. Therefore, in the coming year – together with the team of the Hofinger riding club and the organizer Josef Hofinger – an offer is to be created that is tailored to both young people and professionals. The combination between breeding and sport is also indispensable, a connection that is also very important in our neighboring countries.
Impressive program
For the show jumpers: there are two two-star CSIs on the tournament calendar from April 22nd to 24th, 2022 (Stadl-Paura) and from June 2nd to 5th, 2022 (Ranshofen). The announcements come up with a total of four ranking competitions, a young horse tour and side competitions. “The cooperation between Stadl-Paura and Ranshofen has been going very, very well for a number of years.
