However, this type of indirect euthanasia will remain prohibited for minors.
Earlier, at the end of January 2021, the Portuguese parliament voted to legalize euthanasia. It was reported that terminally ill patients and patients suffering from unbearable pain for a long time will be able to undergo this procedure. However, they must be over 18 years of age and must be recognized as mentally healthy to make this decision.
On November 22, Germany decided to ban euthanasia for people who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus.
