The President of the Republic positively valued the national idiosyncrasy and criticized Venezuela.

At regional level, Lacalle Pou re-categorized Venezuela as a “dictatorship”, since the suppression of candidates and the rejection of international observers “suggests that they are not very willing to hold very transparent elections.”
