In the afternoon, a fire broke out in the stable building of a farm in St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz. The cause is still unknown, as nachrichten.at learned.
The first alarm was raised at 1:22 p.m., initially the Krenglbach Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched, but it soon became apparent that more emergency personnel were needed. Alarm level 3 (out of 4) was triggered.
The supply of fire-fighting water on site proved to be unfavourable and work had to be interrupted repeatedly. There have been no reports of injuries to date. It was not yet clear in the afternoon whether animals had been harmed.
