The pre-candidate of National Party (PN) and former Secretary of the Presidency, Alvaro Delgadoonce again engaged in a clash of opinions with the former president of the Republic Jose Mujica within the framework of the internal elections next Sunday.
“You can see Mujica’s effort to try to (Yamandu) Orsi Don’t lose the internal. Because he is more present than Orsi in Orsi’s candidacy, it is incredible. “I don’t know at this point who is the opening act for whom,” Delgado reacted to previous statements by the former Broad Front president.
Mujica harshly questioned the target on Sunday, during the closing of Orsi’s campaign, whom he supports in the presidential race of the Wide Front (FA), when he said that he has “cramps.” “He took over all the television, he has ads everywhere, signs everywhere,” he detailed and added: “he is fat. When he appeared in Parliament “It was a little canarito that came from there, it went up like boiled milk.”
The favorite to win the National Party nomination according to the polls also referred to those specific sayings and criticized Mujica for “his way of degrading people.”
Delgado and Orsi would face each other, if the forecasts of the different pollsters come true, in the general elections in October and in an eventual runoff in November.
In recent days, Mujica and the former Secretary of the Presidency have captured much of the public attention with crosses and questions.
Regarding the presidential formula of the Frente Amplio, which is almost a fact that it will be composed of the winner of the internal election and whoever comes second, Mujica said that he likes “anyone from any side,” since “the next day we have to be behind the one who won and bye”.
