LASK has found a replacement for Andres Andrade: Hrvoje Smolcic comes on loan from the German Bundesliga club Frankfurt. The athletes secured a purchase option.

“It fills us with great joy to have won a player of his class for LASK,” said sports director Radovan Vujanovic.
“Hrvoje has already proven his qualities at the highest level in the Champions League and the German Bundesliga and will be a huge benefit to our game as a left-footer and with his strengths in build-up play, tackling and heading. He is also still a young player who can develop very well with us.”
Andrade’s cruciate ligament tear left a hole in the defense, and since LASK could not agree on a contract with Felix Luckeneder, Linz were left without a left-footer in central defense. Smolcic is supposed to fill this gap.
