The Styrian State Police Directorate announced this on Tuesday. The woman had wanted to cross the Wechsel federal highway (B54) on Saturday: When two moped drivers stopped to let her cross the road, a 28-year-old car driver failed to notice.
The Romanian drove past the moped riders and hit the 69-year-old on the street. She suffered serious injuries and was unresponsive. The crew of a rescue helicopter took her to the LKH Graz, but she died there on Monday.
