Last year there were around 70,000 visitors, and this year’s Lido Sounds is hoping to break this record. Starting Thursday, numerous festival-goers will be flocking to the Urfahraner fairgrounds.

In order to cope with the higher passenger volume, Linz AG is increasing the frequency of tram lines 1 and 2 from Thursday, June 27th to Sunday, June 30th. From 10 p.m. to 1.30 a.m., trams will run every 7.5 minutes. Between the main station and Sonnensteinstrasse, additional tram sets will also take passengers from A to B. On Sunday afternoons, the intervals of lines 1 and 2 will also be shortened from 10 to 7.5 minutes.
Arriving by bike
Just six minutes away from the site is the Sparkasse Oberösterreich employee parking lot, which will be converted into a bicycle parking area for Lido visitors this year. There is no groundskeeper, but the area is secured with fences. There is space for around 400 to 500 bicycles, but it is the responsibility of the owners to lock them up properly.

Today, technology comes
Two days before the start of the event, festival director David Dittrich is not quite as relaxed as he was last week. “Now you can really feel the stress,” he says. The installation of the technology begins today, for which ten kilometers of power cables have already been laid on the site. But: the work is all on schedule. It will start in less than 48 hours. On Thursday at 4 p.m. the entrance gates will open and the first of the 41 bands – Acoustic Elements – will open the festival.
There are still tickets available for all four days. These can be purchased in advance until Thursday or directly at the box office.
