At the presentation of the top candidates at the state level, Freedom Party state chairman Manfred Haimbuchner also introduced the candidates in the individual constituencies in Upper Austria on Tuesday. In the Mühlviertel constituency, the FP candidate list is headed by Rosa Ecker from Saxen. The family politician entered the National Council in the 2019 election, where she works on the Committee for Family and Youth, among other things. She is also the federal chairwoman of the Freedom Party Women of Austria initiative and the district party chairwoman of the FPÖ in the Perg district. The 55-year-old is also well ahead on the state list, coming fourth. An extension of her parliamentary activity can therefore be expected.
Behind Ecker in second place on the constituency list and eighth place on the state list is Freistadt city councilor Harald Schuh. This placement offers real chances of a “fighting mandate” for the Freedom Party: “I would like to thank our state party chairman Manfred Haimbuchner for the great trust that he has placed in me. In any case, my motivation for the election campaign is huge. The Freistadt district finally needs a strong voice in parliament.”
The other FP candidates in the Mühlviertel constituency are Federal Army Vice Lieutenant Günter Pröller from Feldkirchen an der Donau, the metal worker Ricardo Lang from Aigen-Schlägl and the doctor and deputy mayor of Perg Andreas Köstinger.
