Last February, the LASK loaned Yevgen Cheberko to Osijek – it is now clear that the 23-year-old Ukrainian will not return in the summer: The current second in the Croatian league prematurely withdrew the option to buy.
In the summer of 2020, the athletes had signed the then Ukrainian U21 team captain from Luhansk. After seven appearances for the black and whites, the defender at Osijek should collect more match practice. Although he is by no means a regular at the club of ex-Austria coach Nenad Bjelica, the current runner-up surprisingly fixed the change.
A good business
The transfer should pay off financially for LASK: Cheberko came to LASK for a rumored 300,000 euros, and in his seven months with the black and white, his debut in the Ukrainian national team increased its market value. Cheberko signed with Osijek until the summer of 2025.
