On Thursday morning, the police were in the process of giving students their cycling test when a car with Polish license plates performed conspicuous driving maneuvers right in front of their noses at the exhibition center.
When they stopped the 32-year-old Pole, they were already hit by a strong smell of alcohol. The breathalyzer test result was accordingly: 2.28 per mille.
The man’s driving license was taken away and he was of course forbidden to drive any further. Because he could not prove that he lived in Austria, he was also asked to pay a four-figure sum in euros.
