The 77-year-old from the Schärding district was walking along the Inn promenade from the Wassertor towards the Alte Brücke with his dog on a leash when, despite the ban on driving, a cyclist came towards him at 11.10 a.m. There was a collision and the pensioner fell. Two witnesses came to the man’s aid.

The cyclist also stopped briefly, but then, according to the police, simply rode on – without offering any help and without giving his details. The senior citizen could no longer get up on his own. He was injured and had to be taken to Schärding Hospital.
The police are now looking for the cyclist involved in the accident and are asking for information on 059133 4270.
