Beer bars to visit in Buenos Aires

BULLER

Located in the traditional Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta, the Buller brewery was a pioneer in producing and selling its products in one place. The space’s setting is distinguished by its factory style and has three open-air areas: a deck on the sidewalk, an internal patio and a terrace that offers attractive views of the neighborhood. From its 16 taps, they serve styles of their own brew (which have won awards in different international tournaments), such as Pilsen (with notes of bread from the malt and floral aromas of German hops) and Stout (with flavors of roasted coffee and dark chocolate), as well as some guest producers that rotate. Their dishes with an American imprint accompany the flavors of the different beers and it is recommended to try their appetizers to share, their homemade hamburgers and their giant “milangas”. The happy hour with promotions on pints runs from Monday to Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

SCRAPYARD

Desarmadero Bar and Desarmadero Session are two beer bars par excellence. Located opposite each other, they are favorite places for connoisseurs due to their careful curation. Through its more than 40 taps (between the two locations) beers from the most prestigious craft producers in the country parade, some of the most sought-after styles being IPA, APA, Pilsen and Stout. But the proposal not only appeals for its slate, but also for its gastronomic offer with a homely imprint that focuses especially on hot tapas (such as chard fritters, ham and cheese croquettes or empanadas), sandwiches and homemade hamburgers. Those who visit them will also be able to appreciate the art of the renowned muralist Alfredo Segatori, who was in charge of the setting of the space. Both spots have heated tables on the sidewalk and there is a large heated terrace at Desarmadero Bar.

Some recommendations from the house are the Scottish from Bierhaus (with aromas of toffee and caramel), the Raspberry from Peñón el Águila (low bitterness and very refreshing) and the American IPA from Minga (with notes of tropical fruits). To accompany it, there is finger food, homemade hamburgers, Neapolitan pizzas, hot dishes and salads.
