The 15-year-old from the Grieskirchen district was driving from Fronberg towards Natternbach at around 5.30 p.m. In a slight left-hand bend, the teenager collided with an oncoming car for unknown reasons.
The 15-year-old was seriously injured and, after receiving initial treatment, was flown to Wels Hospital by emergency helicopter.
A breathalyzer test carried out on the 30-year-old car driver was positive. His driving license was confiscated on the spot and the man from the Grieskirchen district will be reported to the public prosecutor’s office and the district administration.
