The Colorado candidate voted with his wife and remembered the beginnings of his political career.
The pre-candidate for the Colorado Party, Robert Silvacast his vote on internal election day, remembering his political past, along with his wife, and announced that he hopes to have the presidential ticket tonight.
Silva commented that he began the day like any militant, accrediting lists in the circuits, an activity that he published on his social networks. “Then we visited different circuits and spoke with delegates and we also entered the secret rooms, because I have the power of general delegate to be able to observe that the lists are and that everything is in order,” he commented.
“When you start to think about where you come from, everything you have been through, life in Tacuarembó, the study, the effort and the perseverance, the truth is that it is exciting,” he commented regarding the political path that the former president of the Central Board of Directors (Codicen) of the National Public Education Administration (ANEP).
What about the formula?
Regarding the question about whether the presidential formula will be determined tonight after the results, Silva commented that it would be best to resolve it today. “We are going to see how we are, how the election goes and, from there, the best thing would be to have a formula,” he assured.
“In addition, other political parties, such as Broad Front and the National PartyThey have said that they are going in that direction and I think that would give them an advantage. We hope that this is possible,” he stressed.
Regarding the mandatory nature of internal elections in the face of low citizen participation in the elections, Silva commented that it is necessary to address issues that make people want to get involved. “That people feel more attracted,” commented the Colorado candidate. “It is our responsibility to address issues that have a direct impact on people’s lives,” he added.
Meanwhile, he commented that he did not speak during the day with any of the pre-candidates of the Colorado Partynor with a different political flag.
