A spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office announced this on Wednesday afternoon. The cause of death was bleeding to death. The 84-year-old man is believed to have first killed his 90-year-old wife and then taken his own life, as reported.

A battery-powered saw is said to have been used as a weapon. The woman was considered to be suffering from severe dementia, and the man’s health was also probably no longer good. The public prosecutor’s office had begun investigations into murder and suicide, and the case would only be closed once the written autopsy report was available.
