Amazon plans to open a new logistics center at its site in Dummerstorf near Rostock in the fall, according to a company statement. The center will initially be partially operational. Around 450 people are to be hired this year, and another 550 next year.
Amazon expects to have 40,000 permanent employees in Germany by the end of the year. The employees currently work in 21 logistics centers, ten sorting centers and more than 60 distribution centers.
