Landslide kills at least five people in China

At least five people were killed in a landslide in Guizhou province in southwestern China. This was reported on January 4 by China Central Television.

It is noted that the tragedy occurred on Monday evening at a construction site in the Bijie city district. More than 20 people were trapped.

Five were killed, another nine people are reported missing.

As of Tuesday, 7:30 (2:30 Moscow time) managed to save eight people, they were taken to hospitals.

The report also says that the rescue work continues, involving more than 720 people and 16 excavators.

On September 26, CGTN reported at least 10 people missing from a landslide in southwestern China’s Sichuan province.

It was noted that due to heavy rains in the city of Ya’an in the territory of Tianquan County, the soil and rocks were displaced.
