LASK signed Alexis Tibidi. The 20-year-old winger, who played for France’s U20 team at the World Cup last year, signed a contract that runs until 2028.
“With Alexis Tibidi we are getting a technically very skilled player who brings a lot of speed and dynamism,” said sports director Radovan Vujanovic, introducing the new signing. Tibidi has also gained a lot of experience in his career: From Toulouse he moved to Stuttgart’s U19 team and played 13 times for the Swabians in the German Bundesliga in the 2021/22 season.
The loan to Altach in autumn 2022 was canceled at the end of the year because Stuttgart sold him to Troyes after scoring five goals in 16 games in the Austrian Bundesliga. Things didn’t go as planned in his home country because he was slowed down by an injury. He also failed to make up the deficit in the autumn when he was loaned to Dutch first division club Nijmegen. It was not until spring that he played again in the next loan deal for the second team of English champions Manchester City. Vujanovic: “He has already gained valuable experience in the German Bundesliga, in France, in the Austrian Bundesliga and most recently in Manchester City’s U23 team and has been able to show his qualities on several occasions.”
Troyes currently plays in the second French league; the club is part of the global network of the City Football Group from Abu Dhabi.
