The shortest route is not always the smartest. A young woman had to experience this on Sunday afternoon. As the TT reported, the woman wanted to get from Ehrwald to Seefeld in Tirol with her car with Augsburg license plates and chose the shortest route suggested by her navigation system. What the German didn’t know: The route led through the middle of a ski area.
Liftspur gequert
There the winter sports enthusiasts, who could be found in large numbers on the slopes when the sun was shining, presented a curious picture. Because although she had already crossed the ski run and a lift lane twice, the driver was not deterred and continued on the forest road that was supposed to bring her to Seefeld.
Pistenbully towed the car
At around 1,500 meters above sea level, it was over: near the mountain station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn, the car could no longer continue in the snow. A snowcat finally had to tow the car:
