In addition to the foldable smartphones Fold 6 and Flip 6, Samsung has shown new watches in the Louvre in Paris. A completely new smart finger ring for fitness monitoring is also available. Samsung is launching a new edition of the Galaxy Buds in-ear headphones. The new devices will be available from July 24th. Unsurprisingly, the South Korean manufacturer is placing great emphasis on artificial intelligence in its new devices. Galaxy AI plays a central role in both smartphones and wearables. The new releases in detail:
- Galaxy Z Fold 6: The larger of the two folding phones is slightly lighter and thinner than the previous model. The current device weighs 239 grams (instead of 253 for the Fold 5) and is only 12.1 millimeters thick when closed. AI-supported functions are intended to help make optimal use of the large display (7.6 inches when unfolded with a brightness of up to 2600 nits). The note assistant helps with translations, summaries and automatic formatting. The stylus also gets new AI functions (“Smart Select”), which can be used to transform users’ sketches into images, for example.
