The woman from Lower Austria had previously undertaken several via ferrata tours on the 632-metre-high hill with her 47-year-old friend. The accident occurred on the descent: before she had even clipped into the rope with the carabiners, the 28-year-old slipped before she reached the last point secured with a steel cable and fell five to seven metres into steep forest terrain. A tree finally stopped her fall.
