The entire Penny branch network is supplied entirely with green electricity and has been converted to LED lighting. The new refrigeration technology will enable the branch to be heated entirely using the waste heat from the refrigeration units in the future. Penny is considered a brand discounter of REWE International AG and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023. The company operates more than 300 branches in Austria.
