Orsi is located in Spain with his wife and children in order to rest after the internal elections, of which he emerged as the winner. He is expected to return to the Uruguay, although he took advantage of his visit to the old continent to visit the president of Spain.
This was confirmed on Monday by Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party (PSOE) published photos of the meeting between Orsi and Sánchez where they assured that both politicians “will address the roadmap of the left in Uruguay in view of the next elections” that will be held on October 27 in the country.
In this sense, in the party’s statement they stressed that the meeting “is part of the commitment of the PSOE and the Socialist International to strengthen ties with progressive and left-wing parties in Latin America, promoting the exchange of experiences and political strategies.”
However, the presidential candidate did not reveal anything about the meeting with Sanchez, nor did his press team. On the other hand, the senator Daniel Caggiani posted photos on social media about the meeting.
