The man from Styria died, police spokesman Raimund Schwaigerlehner said when asked. A medical cause is believed to have led to his death. According to Klaus Stebal from the Lower Austria State Fire Brigade Command, the person affected was probably a fisherman. Witnesses pulled the man to shore, but attempts at resuscitation failed. In addition to the fire brigade and rescue services, an emergency medical helicopter was also on site.
