A truck had skidded due to a tire blowout and had pushed a car against a concrete barrier, which then burst into flames. Any help came too late for the woman in the car, the police confirmed in response to media reports.
Two seriously injured people rescued
The truck driver managed to rescue two other passengers from the burning car. They were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The A2 was still closed at the scene of the accident in the afternoon, and a long traffic jam formed in both directions.
