The presidential candidate for the Colorado Party was invited by the Central Israelite Committee of Uruguay.
The presidential candidate Uruguay for him Colorado Party, Andres Ojeda, will participate in the event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the attack on the AMIA in Buenos Aires, Thursday. In this way, he joins the list of Uruguayan politicians who will be present in the Argentine capital, among whom will be the president Luis Lacalle Pou and the formula of the National Party for the elections.
Andrew Ojeda will travel to Buenos Aires tomorrow, on the occasion of participating in the commemorative ceremony for a new anniversary of the terrorist attack against the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA)which occurred in 1994. The Colorado candidate received the invitation from the Central Israelite Committee of Uruguay.
Although there is no confirmation that he will hold a formal meeting with any authority from the neighbouring country, the possibility has not been ruled out either.
An event attended by Uruguayan politicians
Ojeda is not the first Uruguayan politician to confirm his participation in the commemorative events for the attack on the AMIA: The candidates who make up the National Party formula also did so, Alvaro Delgado and Valeria Ripolland President Luis Lacalle Pou himself, who will take advantage of the occasion to finally have a bilateral meeting with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei.
In the case of the candidates, Delgado and Ripoll will travel today to the neighboring country to participate in the Parliamentary Forum against Terrorisminvited by the World Jewish Congress and the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina; which will take place between Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th.
Tomorrow, meanwhile, they will coincide with Lacalle Pou at the central event for the 30th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Jewish mutual society at Pasteur 633, organized by AMIA itself, the victims’ families and the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA)Ojeda will also participate in this event.
