On Wednesday, the young man was sentenced by the Linz Regional Court. He was listed as the main perpetrator of a criminal organization that is said to have earned money from smuggling and trading “blatantly high quantities of narcotic drugs” between August 2022 and January 2024. In addition to smuggling trips by the 21-year-old, some of the narcotic drugs are also said to have been transported by rail from Germany to Austria.
Prison sentences also for accomplices
Two other young men were also accused, who, according to the indictment, had made their apartments in the state capital available as storage space. They are also said to have portioned cannabis and cocaine and helped sell them. The two 23-year-olds also received unconditional prison sentences: one was sentenced to three and a half years in prison (not yet final), the other to three years.

The court considered that the fact that they, like the 21-year-old main defendant, had made a comprehensive confession was a mitigating factor. In addition, the accomplices had no criminal record. The 21-year-old, on the other hand, already had a criminal record for committing a robbery, according to the Linz Regional Court.
