The tragic incident occurred at around 7.30pm in the east of the French capital. The driver escaped, but a person accompanying him was arrested. At least four fire trucks were dispatched to the area.


The local police were heavily deployed around the restaurant “Le Ramus” in the 20th district of Paris. The whereabouts of the driver of the car are still unknown. His companion, however, tested positive in a drug and alcohol test.
