This scenario revealed a Democratic candidate who was not very lucid and inconsistent in his proposals for a new term.

Doubts and concerns about the ability of Biden to once again take command of the US government continued to escalate after other episodes of confusion that the president starred in at the summit of the NATO which was held in Washington.

Support for Joe Biden’s candidacy continues to collapse

The results show the discontent of American voters, including those linked to the Democratic Party, with the president’s candidacy. Only Three in ten Democrats are very confident that Biden has the mental capacity necessary to serve another term. This figure is slightly lower than that of another AP-NORC poll conducted in February.

Nearly two-thirds of Democrats say the 81-year-old candidate should step aside and let his party nominate a different candidate to take on Trump.

The recent statements of several congressmen of the Democratic Party do not help to consolidate Biden’s campaign to serve a new term in the White House. To the almost twenty representatives who are pressuring Biden, the representative Democrat Adam Schiff, who considered that “although the decision to withdraw from the campaign is only the president’s, it is time for him to pass the torch and ensure his legacy of leadership by allowing another Democrat to defeat former President Donald Trump.”

Against this backdrop, the Democratic National Committee is grappling with uncertainties surrounding the nomination process, scheduled for late next month.
