When the Frankenmarkt and Raspoldsedt fire departments arrived, it was discovered that a substance had reacted strongly and had created sparks.
The hazardous materials unit of the Puchheim fire department and the breathing apparatus vehicle of the Vöcklamarkt fire department were immediately called in for support. The substance in question was neutralized and packed in a suitable transport container.
“Thanks to the professional efforts of the emergency services, the pollutant was immediately removed and handed over to a disposal company,” says operations manager Sebastian Kirtsch. “There were no injuries and the material damage was minimal.”
After about three hours, the fire brigade was able to finish its operation.
