A 57-year-old woman from Vöcklabruck’s e-bike ride ended in hospital on Sunday: The woman had taken a tour from Gschwandt to Lake Laudach with her 63-year-old husband and 84-year-old father-in-law. The serious accident occurred on the way back at around 12:20 p.m. The woman must have braked too hard on the way down from Flachberg. She lost control of the e-bike on a forest path and fell about five meters before she came to rest seriously injured.

Taken to hospital by helicopter
Her companions immediately called the emergency services. A team from the Gmunden mountain rescue service took the seriously injured woman on a stretcher to a nearby helipad. She was taken to the Gmunden hospital by helicopter, police said on Sunday afternoon.
It was not the only operation for the mountain rescue on this sunny Sunday: The mountain rescuers also had to go out at Attersee after three men got lost on the way to the Mahdlgupf via ferrata and did not dare to continue in the steep terrain.
