Robbery at Swarovski branch in Linz city centre

A man entered the store, smashed a display case and fled with an unknown amount of loot. Initially, there was talk of a robbery, but during the course of the investigation, the police announced that it was probably a serious theft. In any case, the unarmed perpetrator did not get very far. An employee quickly pressed the alarm button, so that the man, who was hurrying towards the ditch on foot, ran straight into the arms of the police. He was taken to the police detention center.
