The presidential candidate Colorado Party (PC), Andres Ojeda, will meet with the foreign minister this afternoon Omar Paganini to formally request that Uruguay declare a terrorist group Hamas and Hezbollahin line with the provisions of the Argentine government of Javier Milei.
Ojeda, accompanied by Robert Silvawill be received in the Foreign Ministry building to raise the request against those two Gazan and Lebanese organizations, as he announced last week during his visit to Buenos Aires to participate in the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the AMIA attack.
The proposal is in line with the policy announced by the government of Javier Milei in Argentinaahead of the events to pay tribute to the 85 victims of the attack, which designated both organisations as terrorists.
With its proposal, the Colorado ticket wants to open “the list of this type of organizations that our country must create as soon as possible.” “We must be implacable with those who cause terror and despise human life,” Ojeda emphasized when announcing the initiative last week.
For his part, Robert Silva, through his X account, expressed his condemnation of terrorism and anti-Semitism, considering that this should be “frontal”, regretting the “terrible” attack against the AMIA on its anniversary.
