Gurten against LASK: Around 3000 tickets sold so far

Game at the Klaus-Roitinger-Stadium (Streif)

By Tuesday evening, around 3,000 tickets had been sold. The away section has space for 1,300 fans. “We have 150 volunteers on duty,” says Sebastian Dietrich, Union Gurten’s sporting director. The effort required to organize the cup clash, which the authorities classify as a high-risk game due to the great rivalry between Ried fans and LASK supporters, is great.

The Gurten officials are doing everything they can to put on a football festival like the one against Rapid in autumn 2023. “We are clear underdogs, there’s no question about that. I trust our team to be able to surpass itself once again. We’re certainly not going onto the field with the attitude that we want to limit the number of goals we concede. We want to annoy the Linz team,” says Dietrich. (tst)

The seats are sold out. There is still enough standing room. Tickets are available online at www.union-gurten.at, from the Raiffeisen banks Gurten and Ried and at the box office (from 4 p.m.). More on Thursday in the Rieder Volkszeitung.
