Yamandú Orsi’s campaign in Artigas
After his visit to Artigas, Orsi referred to the campaign, which finds him in open polarization with Andres Ojeda, of the Colorado Party: “We are coming together to have a deeper conversation and see how we stand as a political force in terms of proposals for the people and the electoral campaign for October.”
Later, he held a meeting with representatives of the Agricultural Association Artigas. “Listening to the demands of the sector, sharing the ideas we have been working on, having a back and forth is necessary to get this great productive country back on track, which is so different in each department,” the Frente Amplio candidate stressed.
Orsi was in the news in the last hours of the campaign for his decision not to attend events in which the four candidates of the officialism. “If they have already decided that they will form a coalition and the problem is trying to prevent the Frente Amplio from getting there, I think it is obvious that if there are four of them and one on the other side, it does not make much sense, or at least it is quite unbalanced,” he said.
In this sense, he considered that in the ruling party “they have a second internal conflict” in the 2024 elections and said: “After they resolve the second internal dispute, on an equal footing, I understand that they are concerned about my agenda.”
