In France, two people died in a helicopter crash

Two men were killed on Thursday, January 6, in a private helicopter crash in the French department of Puy-de-Dôme. It is reported by the Ouest-France edition with reference to the local gendarmerie.

“The causes of the accident are still unknown,” the agency quoted the source as saying.

According to the newspaper, the helicopter’s signal was lost a few hours after it was supposed to take off.

“The private helicopter was supposed to take off at 15:30 (13:30 Moscow time) from Villefranche-sur-Saone (Rhone) to Brive-la-Gaillarde (Corrèze), the signal was lost at about 17:30,” the newspaper reports.

It is noted that the aircraft engulfed in flames was found at the Beala Pass. People on board the helicopter were killed by the time the rescuers arrived.

The identities of the victims have not yet been identified. An investigation is in progress.

On January 7, in Bashkiria, a private helicopter with three people on board made a hard landing: one person died and two were injured. According to preliminary data, a private helicopter flew from Ufa to the village of Pavlovka.

The Ufa Transport Prosecutor’s Office has begun a flight safety audit in connection with an emergency landing of a helicopter. Rescuers, a transport prosecutor and investigators went to the scene.

In addition, the TFR began an investigation into the crash.
