The 20-year-old pedestrian from the Freistadt district wanted to cross the B125, Linzer Straße, at a zebra crossing near the brewery at around 10:10 p.m. A 39-year-old man driving his car on the federal highway failed to see the young man. Despite slamming on the brakes, the German was unable to prevent a collision.

The 20-year-old was thrown over the hood of the car onto a grass verge. The injured man from Mühlviertel was taken to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz after receiving first aid from the emergency doctor.
