The officialization of the presidential candidate takes place at the National Convention of each party. In the case of Democrats, it was scheduled for August 19-22 of this year, but was brought forward after Biden’s announcement.
Harris was the only candidate to appear at the Democratic convention, aiming to face the Republican leader, Donald Trump, adding important support such as that of former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
