Previous champions are ahead again in the Ennstal Cup

After almost a two-year break from racing, Daniel Lumplecker and Marlies Kaiser have not forgotten the fast turns. After the first slalom after the corona-related cancellations last year, the two series winners are leading the Ennstal Cup again.

Under strict conditions, the elite of local skiing was allowed to catapult themselves out of the starting house at the traditional competition.

After all participants had been listed and tested, the Steyr ski club, as the organizing association, was allowed to carry out the slalom flagged on the standard slope in Hinterstoder.

Of the 63 racers in total, Daniel Lumplecker and Marlies Kaiser carved through the forest as the fastest of the day. The two veterans, who had already won the overall ranking of the Ennstal Cup three times, mastered the difficult conditions due to increasingly heavy snowfall best.

Behind the Trattenbacher Lumplecker, Lukas Bauer from SK Steyr came second, Benjamin Garstenauer (SV Losensein) was the third man on the podium.

In the women’s category, Birgit Kastner (like the winner Marlies Kaiser from Naturfreunde Großraming) came second in front of the only 13-year-old surprise third, Juliane Garstenauer.
